Amish

In Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, a large Amish community farms the beautiful and fertile farmland. Amish are a religious people who shun modern conveniences such as cars and electricity. They are charming to watch, to live among, and a challenge to photograph, as they do not invite photography. I try to be respectful, and in so doing, a number of the photos are shot through the windshield of my car, yielding images that are not sharp.
